Examples of Affirmations to Defeat Anxiety
Affirmations of anxiety are essentially optimistic words that in those moments when you begin to feel nervous you should reassure yourself. You can use these to calm your nerves and offer peace of mind at any time and for any reason.
For example, you might tell yourself, “Because I’m in charge, I can conquer my fears,” or “I don’t need to be scared anymore. I encourage myself to accept the greatness of who I am.” Any affirmation that replaces anxious thoughts with a positive feeling would work.
- Repeat these words as often as you can during stressful times and continue to affirm the positive thoughts until the anxious moment has passed.
By using these affirmations when you feel stressed, you reprogram your mind literally. In doing so, you will be able to think more positively, and you can also use these statements to shift your mind away from your fear and anxiety into more of what you really want.
Every occasion you use an affirmation, you make less space for the unreasonable fears and anxieties that have long dominated your life.
